Everyday life of a freelance photographer ( or how to be brighter than a thousand Suns)
It seems like a very busy first month ( to be honest a freelance photographer is always busy ) Already a couple of trips are planned. Will be taking a break and heading to Jaipur for D. Noise festival followed by a couple of days Jaipur Literature festival.
Dec 2012 was quite hectic with trips to Gwalior and Mumbai . Always enjoy heading to Mumbai. The streets give a kick to your butt . Suddenly you wished there were more of you so you could accomplish five times more work at the same times. Visiting places, business lunched and meetings, and meeting pretty faces .

Anyways in between I had to squeeze time out to reflect on what happened during 2012 and what needs to be done for 2013. Travels, photography assignments, hitting back in sales and working in rural distribution, working towards a social enterprise, and at the fag end of year starting out a photography organization focused on education and retail were some of the highlights of the year. These are the ones that could be shared out from the closet .I also did end up meeting a lot of interesting people, and working with some really smart ones Starting out 2013 seems to be very critical – it will involve lots of planning, lot more doing and upgrading one’s skills to reach out new avenues.

Happy Camera Club’s website should be up by Feb and we then will be actively doing online promotion for photography workshops in India through friends and colleagues. Starting February , it will also be a critical and exciting time for us at Nuru Energy. We shall continue with our endeavors on sustainable energy and providing choices to consumers who are interested in our innovative products .
We need to build organizations that outlive us
Past three years I have been planning for a trip to Leh and also revisit Cambodia-Vietnam-Philippines . Hopefully this year I shall be able to do it with my travel partner .We had a crazy plan to cycle all the way to Leh, but even an En-field will do this time around . It should be quite exciting as I have seen so many images from the place. Probably food for thought and material as freelance photographer.
Personal Photography wise- a couple of pending projects and mentoring students is more at stake. It will be more about meditation than focussing on commercial success.

I cannot afford to think about things that might not happen. But even more i cannot live in anticipation of those moments.I decide to take things hands on.That’s how my 2013 should be : Brighter than a thousand Suns
