the home made Spinach Smoothie
so it has been an ongoing battle ever since -to feel superfit . there have patches in between where I have felt so ,and those days felt wonderful. And then to keep maintaining it took a lot of effort ,which then rounded off to me being round.Anyways with the New Delhi marathon coming around ,the morale has taken an upswing again and besides running ,I have been focusing on healthy eating, and changing my work habits ( mind you, this is quite difficult for a guy who got hitched a few months ago .instead of eating outside we are experimenting at home . and surprisingly it feels better, taste better!! ) .the Mrs. has been quite supportive though .
So this morning ,I made the Spinach Smoothie. Contrary of expecting the worst,it came out pretty well. Looked good, tasted well.
Here’s the recipe I used ( tweaked it a bit and added a few things here and there)
- 1 Banana, medium size, sliced
- 2 cups Spinach ( I bought an awful lot . Buying 200 gms would have been more than sufficient )
- 1 cup Milk
- Honey ( 2 teaspoon)
- 10 soaked Almonds
- 1.5 Chiku (Zapota)
- A few cubes of Ice
- Blend all of them together and serve .
