Happy Camera Club

In Feb 2011, i started teaching to not so privileged basic aspects of skill like photography which further can be used by them in their day to day life. It was an outcome of many reasons. The first workshop started with two cameras and resulted in lot of enthusiastic students, photographs and exhibition. Some of the pictures from the month long activity can be seen here. And the initiative has grown in purpose and strength. We are currently conducting more photography workshop classes in India.

What are the actions of Happy Camera Club?

Happy camera club is an initiative brought upon by a thought to make constructive use of time by teaching not so privileged basic aspects of skill like photography which further can be used by them in their day to day life.

To teach photography to the less privileged and leave them with an additional skill set to choose from.

A win-win situation we work with organizations, photographers and like minded individuals who support this cause.

What does it aim to achieve?

  • To understand oneself and build self expression by learning a skill set that not only is meaningful but also interesting to implement i.e photography
  • Social inclusion. Photography as a medium has the power to go beyond the usual society norms.
  • Provide a possible means of livelihoods through individual empowerment
